
Whole wheat flour is a rich source of fiber, protein, iron, calcium & essential vitamins which helps to keep you healthy.
This whole wheat flour chocolate chip cookies is an amazingly easy, healthy & delicious recipe. You can always customize ingredients according to your choice.
In this recipe I usually use white sugar which you can substitute with brown sugar or coconut sugar.
So let’s jump to the recipe:
Ingredients :
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 4 tbsp chocolate chips
- 3 tbsp Milk or according to requirement
Instructions :
- In a large bowl add melted butter & powdered sugar
- Mix & whisk both in one direction
- Whisk until the mixture becomes soft & fluffy ( It usually take 7-8 minutes )
- Now add whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda & mix
- Then add vanilla essence & mix
- Add 2 tbsp chocolate chips & mix
- Using your hand kneed the cookie dough
- Add milk only if required ( as dough should be semi hard )
- Now cover the cookie dough & keep in the refrigerator for 20 minutes
- After 10 minute you can keep the oven for pre heating at 180 c
- After 20 minute, take out the dough
- Take small portion from the dough, roll & flat to give the shape of cookie
- Put some chocolate chips on the top of the cookies & press lightly
- Now place baking sheet in a baking tray & place the cookies in the tray
- Bake the cookies for 10 minute at 180 c
- After 10 minutes take out the cookies, let them cool completely at room temperature to become a little solid & hold shape.
- Keep the cookies in an airtight jar ( you can store this for 8-10 days easily )
